Tribute to our Ancestors who were thrown into the Atlantic Ocean
There are millions of our ancestors thrown into the Atlantic Ocean—men, women, and children whose names were never written, whose stories were never told, whose final cries were swallowed by the waves. The ocean became their grave, their witness, and their keeper. Shackled in body but never in spirit, they were taken from their lands, their languages, their families, and their futures, yet their souls could not be chained.
The Atlantic still remembers them. Every wave carries their pain, every tide echoes their resistance. Beneath those waters lie broken chains, unfinished songs, stolen dreams, and unfulfilled destinies. They did not die in silence; they transitioned into the eternal memory of our people. Their blood mixed with the salt of the sea, consecrating it as sacred ground.

May their souls rest in perfect power—not in weakness, not in defeat, but in strength and dignity. Perfect power for the courage they showed in the face of unimaginable cruelty. Perfect power for the lives they lived before captivity and the freedom they still embodied even in death. Perfect power for the legacy they left within us.
We are their continuation. We walk because they were forced to fall. We breathe because they were denied air. We dream because their dreams were interrupted. To remember them is an act of resistance. To honor them is a duty. To rise in consciousness, unity, and purpose is how we repay the debt history owes them.
May the ancestors know that they are not forgotten. May the waters that claimed their bodies elevate their spirits. May their power flow through us as wisdom, resilience, and unbreakable love. And may we live in a way that proves their suffering was not in vain.
